Julie Horton

Apitherapy Assistant

Julie brings 15 years of experience at Niagara Health, specializing in assessing and meeting the needs of Long-Term Care residents through planning, implementing, and facilitating various customized therapeutic recreation programs. Her strong work ethic, unwavering kindness, and passion for helping people exceeded expectations and improved the lives of many. Julie’s main focus was clients with Dementia. In 2019, Julie and her husband Shaun purchased their first beehive and placed it on their country property in Fenwick. It opened a whole new world of learning about bees and all the health benefits associated with bee products. This piqued interest led Julie to the Apitherapy Wellness Center. In her spare time, Julie enjoys watching her two children, Hailey and Zach, at their recreational activities, hiking with her two dogs, gardening, and working with her husband on their hobby farm. Julie is beyond grateful for the opportunity to work with the Unger family and to witness the daily blessings they bring to people.
